We’re continuing our commitment to bring the new and improved Capital One Arena to life. As you plan for the 2026–27 NBA and NHL seasons and the upcoming concert season, please review the information below to help make your visit as smooth and memorable as possible.
Please be sure to review the Know Before You Go (KBYG) email sent to ticket holders for event-specific details, including entry times and other important information.

Doors
Doors may open as early as 90 minutes before the event start time. Please refer to your event’s KBYG email for exact door times.
We encourage guests to arrive early and allow additional time for security screening and entry.
Entrances
Guests are encouraged to use the main entrance to Capital One Arena on F Street near the corner of 7th Street.
Additional entrances include:
CLEAR / Stairwell 4
Located in Gallery Place Way across from Clyde’s Restaurant and available to all ticketed guests.
Gallery Place
Located inside Gallery Place and available to all ticketed guests.
Venture Global
Located on 7th Street near G Street and available to VIP and Suite ticket holders.
United Globe Club and Lounge
Located on 6th Street between F and G Street and available to VIP ticket holders with access to the United Globe Club and Lounge.
Capital One Cardholder /Stairwell 1
Located on 6th Street betwen F and G Street and available to Capital One Cardholders, GA Floor ticket holders and others varying by event.
Box Office
The Box Office is located in the Gallery Place Atrium. The Box Office is open beginning at 2 PM on event days.
Guests may visit the box office to:
- Claim tickets left at Will Call
- Resolve ticketing issues
Team Store
The Team Store is located in the Gallery Place Atrium and offers official team merchandise and apparel. The Team Store is open Tuesday - Saturday, 12 PM - 5 PM and beginning at 12 PM on Wizards and Capitals game days.
Bag Policy
Capital One Arena has implemented a strict no-bag policy. Bags, backpacks, and purses are not permitted inside the Arena.
The following are permitted, subject to security screening:
- Wallet-size clutches no larger than 4" x 6"
- Medical bags
- Parenting bags no larger than 14" x 14" x 6"

Storage Locker Rental
Guests arriving with a bag that exceeds the permitted size may rent a Binbox storage locker for the duration of the event.
Binbox is located on the 2nd Level of Gallery Place.
Transportation
Guests using rideshare services should be mindful of the following designated drop-off and pick-up locations around Capital One Arena:
- 6th and E Street
- 7th and E Street
- 5th and G Street
- 8th and G Street
Parking is available at the Capital One Arena Garage and Gallery Place Parking Garage, with additional options available through our parking partner, SpotHero.
Please note that street closures in the surrounding area may impact travel to and from the arena. We encourage guests to plan ahead and allow extra time when arriving for their event.
